Dr. Voller played with the Jentz band this past year for almost 500 people at the Days Inn in Butler Pa. It's their 15th year doing this gig at the Inn.
This nice comment is from a happy client
who resides about 4 hours north of us...
When I examine your work closely I am really quite amazed
at what you were able to do to get my "bite adjusted"
by building up the lower teeth. You integrated your hands-on
experience, knowledge, materials and procedure to accomplish
what the lab was, apparently, unable to do for you. There
has to be a tremendous amount of planning and actual activity
that you have to accomplish even before the client comes
into the office, that really isn't apparent to the client.
Being in your chair and having you work on me for nearly eight
hours made me fully aware of all your efforts to get me back
to having a good set of teeth - so necessary to support a
healthy lifestyle. Thanks. - Al
Dr. Voller and Dr. Jim Boyd, the developer of the revolutionary
NTI, a migraine headache treatment appliance (see www.headachehope.com,
or www.nti-tss.com),
have been friends for several years. Recently they had a
chance to get together at the ACE/Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics meeting on Marco
Island. Dr. Boyd is an extremely smart and talented dentist,
and one of Dr. Voller's most favorite mentors!
Dr. Voller just returned from the American Academy of
Cosmetic Dentistry annual convention in Vancouver, British
Columbia. He was appointed as a "scout" by ACE/Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics.
While there, Dr. Voller's duties were to scout several of
the dental lecturers who presented at the convention. Additionally,
Dr. Voller was invited to a dinner sponsored by Discus Dental
Corporation. This corporation is owned by Dr. Bill Dorfman
(seen in the picture) from the acclaimed ABC network television
program, "Extreme Makeover."
While at the dinner, Dr. Voller had the chance to meet several
of the past presidents of the American Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry and several other well respected dental practitioners
and dental suppliers.
Local Dentist Attains Fellowship
Dr. Raymond J. Voller of Kittanning was recently awarded a Fellowship
in the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics on Marco Island in Florida.
Dr. Voller had to take a verbal and written test, consisting of
questions from many different dental disciplines. In addition he
was required to present several finished esthetic dental treatments
to a board of examiners in order to receive the award. It takes
several months to prepare for the exams and before and after photographs
of the treated cases must pass stringent standards in order to
be eligible for Fellowship in the Academy. His received the lighted
laser etched glass award during the awards ceremony at the annual
genr8tionext dental meeting. His award was presented to him by
the spokesperson for the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics, Ms.
Jennifer Wallace, who was Miss Louisiana 2001. Dr. Voller was one
of 26 Fellows inducted into the Academy. Information about the
Academy can be seen at www.facethechallenge.com.
Dr. Voller also
was recently chosen to be on the faculty of the ACE/Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics digital
dental photography program given several times
per year throughout the United States. The faculty consists of
several of the most well-known innovators of dental digital photography,
including Drs. Tony Soileau, Tom Hedge and Mike Maroon.
His next
course will be given at Foxwoods Connecticut in October of this
year.

Implant News & Views
by Dr. Ray Voller
With the array of continuing education coursers that are available
today to the dental practitioner, it is amazing how so few dentists
think “out of the box.” The use of implants is a prime
example of how, as dentists, we “stick to what we see others
do that works.” In addition, as materials and techniques
continue to evolve, the profession focuses more attention to esthetics
and the elimination of metal in the smile zone.
Dr. Ray Voller of Kittanning has recently been certified
by the Align Technologies Corporation in the use of Invisalign.
Invisalign technology is a breakthrough in orthodontics and
utilizes a series of custom-made removable invisible aligners
to gradually align crooked teeth. clients wear each set
of aligners for a minimum of two weeks each until the desired
results are achieved.
Many
of our clients are already aware that Dr. Voller has a tremendous
number of interesting pursuits outside of dentistry. Most 'notably',
he's an 'instrumental' part of the 'GenR8ers' all-dental musical
group made up of 15 dental professionals from all over North America.
Dr. Voller has played guitar, sung vocals, and served as musical
director for the group as they've performed at dental and non-dental
functions throughout the United States. Their next 'gig' will be
in Miami next Spring.
Dr. Voller has also been a member of the Jentz Band, a well-known
musical group that has performed in the tri-state area for over
30 years. Dr. Voller has played guitar, keyboard, and done vocals
with the band for over 30 years. If you're interested in finding
out more about their upcoming performances, contact them by visiting
the Web site at thejentzband.com.
Beyond the Call of Duty
Dr. Voller is also an extremely active, interested member of our
community. He's a board member of the Fort Armstrong Folk Festival,
where he serves as the entertainment chairman and assisted in their
web page design. He is also a member of the Kittanning YMCA; he's volunteered
with the Riverfront Commission to help design and implement the
construction of Kittanning's Riverfront Park.
Market Street gets trim, just a little off the top
An article from the "Leader Times" including Dr. Voller's involvement
with his hometown of Kittanning.
KITTANNING — A
detail of townspeople picked up their pruning shears, sharpened
their
saws
and climbed
their
ladders
in an
effort to shape up the shade trees along Market Street yesterday.
By
the time the aristocrat pear tree branches had hit the sidewalks, shoppers
could see the store signs again, were no longer banging their
heads on the low hangingbranches and could admire a beautiful tree-lined
view of the downtown business area.
