Porcelain Veneers
You might need porcelain veneers if…
- You look in the mirror and think, Wow. If only my teeth were: __________ (straighter, bigger, whiter, closer together, shaped better).
- You’ve tried teeth whitening and don’t get the results you want.
- You hate the bulky, fake-looking crowns on your front teeth.
- Your front teeth are chipped, cracked, stained, or otherwise imperfect.
- You have crooked teeth but don’t want to wear braces.
Sound familiar? If so, here’s what you should know…
Porcelain veneers are handmade restorations that fit snugly onto the front surface of front teeth. Each veneer is made from thin, durable, stain resistant dental porcelain that reflects light like natural tooth enamel. The entire porcelain veneer procedure takes three or four visits with Dr. Voller.
- At the first visit, you and Dr. Voller will discuss your vision for the perfect smile. By understanding what you want to change, Dr. Voller can create a custom treatment plan that will meet your expectations. He’ll use special digital imaging software to create a picture of what your smile could look like after the veneers are applied. This will allow you to make a truly informed decision about treatment.
- Your second appointment will involve preparing your teeth and taking a dental impression for our laboratory ceramist. You’ll wear temporary veneers while your permanent restorations are being created. The temporaries will allow you to “test drive” your new smile. If you notice any discomfort in the fit, be sure to tell Dr. Voller at your third visit.
- At the third and final appointment, you’ll go home with your new, fabulous smile! Dr. Voller will remove your temporary veneers and permanently secure the new restorations to your teeth. He’ll assess your occlusion and make adjustments in the fit if necessary.
At your initial consultation, Dr. Voller will discuss whether your situation is appropriate for minimal preparation or traditional veneers. He’ll answer all of your questions and show you before-and-after photos of clients who have had similar treatment so that you can understand the procedure. Dental insurance does not cover cosmetic dentistry, but reasonable financing plans are available. Simply ask our front office associate for details.

This attractive young lady had veneers placed on her upper front teeth several years ago by her previous dentist, but she was never really happy with their color or shape. Once they were redone, matched to her "preview" mock-up that we provided for her before we proceeded to redo them, she was ecstatic! With a more natural and functional shape, along with a lighter color, the teeth really can compliment an already beautiful face. This case illustrates how important it is to do whatever it takes to satisfy our clients! |
